Norika Bulgaria started its activity in Bulgaria in the autumn of year 2009. For more than six years Norica has been successfully operating and developing its activities on the Bulgarian market.
In 2009 the first experimental field was made with ten varieties of potatoes from the Norika portfolio on the territory of Bulgaria. In September, the first demonstration took place in the village of Chernyovo, Ihtiman Municipality. The excellent results and adaptation of the tested varieties attract many farmers.
In the beginning of 2010 is the first participation of Norika with a stand at the AGRA exhibition in Plovdiv. At that time, Norika also registered its Representation office Norika Bulgaria.
For its brief presence on the Bulgarian market, Norika has sold more than a few thousand tons of potato seeds.
To date, NORIKA GmbH has over 70 high quality varieties that serve both industrial production and the fresh market. In addition to quality seeds, long-term commercial success is due to skills and experience in counseling and professional advice to growers, taking into account the climatic and local soil conditions of choice for cultivation.
The company offers a wide range of varieties in several different directions – for consumption, for blanched potatoes, chips, dehydrated products and starch.
Norika Bulgaria has a wide range of early, medium and late varieties, continuously selecting new varieties in response to increasing market demands and changing soil and climatic conditions. Borwina, Solist, Soraya, Alegria, Gala and Birgit have long been recognized and sought after by varieties of Bulgarian potato producers. The new varieties Allora, Wega, Inara and the newest Parolli are growing more and more intensively on the Bulgarian market.
The excellent quality of the seeds, the high yields, the exceptional taste and the attractive appearance are part of the prerequisites for the success of Norika Bulgaria.
